Candy Claws – ‘Catamaran’ Exclusive Video

This was the second video we shot with Candy Claws. Enjoy.

And, don’t miss the first.

Candy Claws – ‘On the Bridge’ Exclusive Video

Ryan, Kay, Marty, Jonathan, McKenzie, Meghan, Wesley and Riley: Give yourselves a pat on the butt for a show that was brilliantly performed. There are shows that you come home from and your ears ring for two days. And then there is Candy Claws, where your ears are ringing for a week. Except, it is not that annoying high pitched claw your face off tone, it wasn’t even all that loud. It is the joyful sleigh-bells that I have been hearing everywhere ever since, and I love it. I love these guys.

After the show, an adventure was made to the QFC grocery store where Marty and I were stalked by a creepy man in green, beer was found and a few of us stayed up until the late hours on the neighbor’s roof with a view. Jon was nailing the dad jokes and Marty was getting pretty intoxicated with me while reflecting on times years ago from when we all lived in the same land; which reminds me, “Hidden Lands” is officially single and ready to mingle, so do yourself and your neighbors a favor and pick up a copy. Once you have one, you can pat yourself on the butt too.

Merry Christmas from Candy Claws!

Happy-Christmas-2009

Candy Claws and Firebreather have recorded two holiday songs as their season’s greeting to the world. The songs were composed in warm and sunny Bucerias, Mexico and then filled with holiday spirit in frigid and sunny Fort Collins, Colorado.

Thank you Candy Claws and Firebreather, and Happy Holidays to everyone!

M. Pyres

Colorado gets over 300 days of sunshine a year. It’s no wonder that M. Pyres‘ Matthew Sage has invented a category of music titled: “Sky Gaze”. M. Pyres started in late 2008 when Matthew Sage closed up shop on his former band Castles.  M. Pyres’ sound is a complete departure from Castles’ ambient, atmouspheric sound; a departure that has garnered much attention towards the Fort Collins based 5 piece. On Wednesday March 25th, M. Pyres will be opening for Abe Vigoda and Women in Denver, Colorado. If you will be in or around Denver tomorrow, GO TO THIS SHOW!

In the meantime pacify yourselves with some tracks from M. Pyres’ freshman album: consider me, ghost*. M. Pyres has also passed on the word that a second album is in the works. You can catch a couple demos from the album on their myspace page.

* consider me, ghost has been made available for download with permission from M. Pyres.
