Ryan, Kay, Marty, Jonathan, McKenzie, Meghan, Wesley and Riley: Give yourselves a pat on the butt for a show that was brilliantly performed. There are shows that you come home from and your ears ring for two days. And then there is Candy Claws, where your ears are ringing for a week. Except, it is not that annoying high pitched claw your face off tone, it wasn’t even all that loud. It is the joyful sleigh-bells that I have been hearing everywhere ever since, and I love it. I love these guys.

After the show, an adventure was made to the QFC grocery store where Marty and I were stalked by a creepy man in green, beer was found and a few of us stayed up until the late hours on the neighbor’s roof with a view. Jon was nailing the dad jokes and Marty was getting pretty intoxicated with me while reflecting on times years ago from when we all lived in the same land; which reminds me, “Hidden Lands” is officially single and ready to mingle, so do yourself and your neighbors a favor and pick up a copy. Once you have one, you can pat yourself on the butt too.

Today is 11/11/09, which means that Candy Claws‘ Online World Tour has reached the rain soaked streets of Seattle, Washington. From November through December Candy Claws will be posting exclusive content on blogs across the world in support of their release: “In the Dream of the Sea of Life”. As the record was recorded across the globe (Fort Collins, Italy & The Philippines) it seems entirely appropriate for these musical expeditionists to stay geographically fixed for the holiday season and let their content log miles for them; right? Before you watch Seattle’s exclusive video, please read the preface provided by Candy Claws:

“Here we are in Seattle! It feels so fast… This is the Online World Tour for our new album “In the Dream of the Sea Life.” Third song, Starry Fighter Kite, in order of the album. What a cold night to film, everyone froze, but we tried again. Maybe by now you will notice our method: this is what: two cameras, moving independently, then overlap the footage, no edits. Also, an audio recorder near Kay and Ryan, for the vocals and guitars mostly. Today we added Meghan on Fake Gourd Shaker. How many members will we end up with? This is the first song we wrote as Candy Claws. Is it still good? Again, here we have Marty and Mckenzie on cameras with cold hands. Thank you to them!

Candy Claws have created something that leaves the listener speechless.
